Nutrition Counseling

The goal of nutrition counseling is to provide you with medically sound nutrition information in a supportive, caring and professional environment. We will work together to customize a healthy eating plan, to complement your lifestyle, activity level, medical needs and dietary preferences. Collaboration with your physician and health care team may be necessary to ensure a consistent and comprehensive team approach.

By establishing realistic and achievable goals, you will be more motivated to develop a lifelong eating plan that will improve your health and quality of life. The focus is always on the enjoyable and positive aspects of healthy eating, as an integral component of a happy, healthy and productive lifestyle.

Comprehensive Initial Nutrition Consultation:

An initial comprehensive nutrition consultation typically takes 60-80 minutes. After a thorough nutrition evaluation and assessment, nutrition recommendations are individualized on the basis of dietary history, lifestyle, medical history, activity level and personal goals. An individually customized nutrition plan is generated.

Follow-up Nutrition Consultations:

A follow-up visit typically takes 30-40 minutes. It is designed to provide support and counseling to help you make and maintain the necessary dietary changes, as well as a focused approach to each of your specific nutrition and wellness goals.

During your Nutrition Counseling Sessions, the Nutritionist will work with you to:
  • Evaluate and assess your dietary intake and nutrition status
